RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our Agricultural Solutions Expert Services Team and be part of our regulatory database. Our team provides product-specific data globally.

·  As substance coordinator, you are responsible for dedicated substances as main contact for questions related to Chemical Regulations within and outside BASF e.g. customers and authorities (such as ECHA).
·  You provide regulatory guidance (including MoCs) for chemicals like co-formulants, but also active ingredients, their process chemicals, and intermediates regarding global Chemical Regulations.
·  In addition, you will be responsible for REACH registration dossiers, contribute to content and review, as well as ensure consistency of parts provided by functional units, and communicate decisions and address related issues and coordinate scientific support.
·  You continually update regulatory in project files, internal databases and IUCLID as well as assuring correct data implementation in SAP / BASIS.
·  You build a solid understanding of REACH, major other relevant regulations (e.g., on CLP, BPR, PPP, FPR) and REACH related trends.
·  Moreover, you manage the chemical hazard evaluation done by internal experts regarding toxicological, ecotoxicological - and physicochemical endpoints.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  completed studies in natural sciences such as chemistry, toxicology, ecotoxicology or similiar combined with practical experience
·  profound knowledge in chemical legislation (REACH) and authority guideline approvals
·  experienced handling of IT standard applications (MS Office); first experience with SAP is an advantage
·  strong communication skills in English, German is plus
·  team spirit and the will to achieve goals together
