In the Coatings Division, we are focused on the development, production and marketing of a variety of coating solutions - from applied surface technologies to automotive paints. Working in global teams, we promote innovation, design and new applications in order to meet our partners' needs. This portfolio is complemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enables new applications with innovative surfaces.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Controlling Specialist serves as trusted business partner for regional stakeholders. He/she works closely with country controlling, sales teams and regional/functional units teams within the region EMEA in the Automotive Refinish business.
· You will be responsible for business controlling, which includes reporting, planning & forecasting, profitability analyses as well as risk and efficiency reporting on a regular and/or ad hoc basis.
· You will monitor and interpret the results of various analyses and proactively discuss them with relevant stakeholders.
· Furthermore, you are responsible for regional projects, you will develop and implement policies and procedures to support economic decision-making and/or simplify standard controlling processes.
· You will provide guidance and support country controlling team members, you will monitor key KPIs, consolidate monthly reporting, and support the operational planning process.
· You will foster open dialogue, guiding, challenging, and consulting the organization with its economic decision-making.
· Lastly, you ensure that the business unit fulfills its reporting obligations within BASF from a global business unit, divisional, regional, and group perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS
· completed master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline
· relevant work experience in planning & controlling, finance & accounting
· depth knowledge of finance and accounting system
· proactive team player, strong in analytical thinking and problem-solving
· strong communication and presentation skills in English
· experience with SAP as well as Power BI and data management is an advantage
