RESPONSIBILITIES

·  You will be responsible for performing statistics and/or mechanistic effect modelling in support of aquatic, terrestrial and wildlife risk assessments.
·  In this team, you will explore ecotoxicological studies, analyse and visualize the results from simple lower tier studies to complex higher tier field studies.
·  Additionally, you will communicate the results in reports and at meetings and support risk evaluation in all areas of ecotoxicology.
·  Furthermore, you will contribute in effective communication and teamwork as part of a global and interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Natural sciences degree Master/PhD (e. g., Biology, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Ecotoxicology)
·  Experience with scientific writing, standard IT applications, programming in R, NetLogo, MATLAB, C++ or similar programs, and working in multi-disciplinary teams to jointly develop solutions
·  Good quantitative skills in statistics, ecological modelling and/or mechanistic effect modelling
·  Experience preferred in biostatistics, ecotoxicology, mechanistic effect modelling and data management
·  Prior experience with model analysis of ecotoxicological studies is an advantage

·  Gross annual salary (full-time): 54.000 - 58.000€, depending on qualifications and professional experience. In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success as well as individual performance.

·  Location-independent working models with defined days of presence in Berlin and residence in Germany.
