The Production Unit in Hamina produces polymer dispersions for paper industry customers. Styronal® is the BASF brand name for a range of synthetic binders used in the manufacture of coated paper and board. The site started operations in 2002 in HaminaKotka port industrial area.The team on site works seamlessly together and creates an excellent working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will involve optimizing various processes, ensuring the implementation of a sustainable continuous improvement process (CIP) and maintaining process safety. Additionally, you will be accountable for driving innovations and you will be the contact person for introducing new products.

·  Responsible for the preparation and execution of regular process safety reviews and for implementation of the follow-up activities on the site
·  Leading process optimization, work process optimization and for setting up and managing operational excellence
·  Setting up relevant KPIs like Asset Effectiveness, raw material consumption for monitoring processes and to define improvement measures
·  Responsibility for energy management and energy improvement
·  Furthermore, you will create in-house qualification concepts and guide the employees in process management

QUALIFICATIONS

·  You have a degree as a chemical engineer, mechanical engineer, process engineer, or experience in process management
·  It is beneficial to have several years of professional and leadership experience
·  Experience and knowledge in process safety in general, and with process safety reviews (e.g. HAZOP methodology) in particular
·  You are familiar with process optimization, continuous improvement (CIP) and LEAN management. In addition, you will break new ground to find creative solutions
·  You enjoy working in a team and support others in their own personal development
·  Require Finnish language and good English skills
