Where the chemistry happens…
We are seeking a professional like you to ensure the optimization of plant processes within the assigned area. This includes improving process operating methods and process parameters, optimizing energy consumption, and implementing capital and continuous improvement projects. The role will include efforts to facilitate and contribute to systematic reductions in unplanned production losses within the production processes. In this role, you will be the process expert for the assigned area and carry the responsibility for documenting and implementing operational best practices working with the global technical experts.
As an Operations Engineer II, You Create Chemistry By...
· Assist in the development, planning and execution of a long-term strategy for the site in the areas of expansion, debottlenecking and optimization.
· Providing technical support and assisting in process troubleshooting related to improving efficiency, capability, and safety.
· Assisting during the construction, check-out and start-up phases for capital projects. You will also provide field support and review the work to ensure it is installed and functions according to the design documents.
· Collaborating in the Continuous improvement process (OPEX) along with participating in/lead root cause analysis, management of change, pre-safety start up reviews, and process hazard analysis.
· Ensuring that all activities carried out within your area of responsibility comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations.
If you...
· Experience in manufacturing within the chemical industry or related bachelor’s degree in engineering
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, also excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
· Ability to work in a diverse team environment, working closely with mechanics, operators, engineers, and management to solve problems and address systemic issues related to equipment reliability.
· Sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, automation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
