Where the Chemistry Happens...
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our North America Petrochemicals Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Site Logistics Manager – Pasadena. As a material handler you will be primarily responsible for in-field operational material handling duties. As a member of our Material Handling team; your goal will be to manage the overall efficiency and performance of inbound and outbound logistics to ensure the site’s operational success and a Zero Incident performance relative to personal and process safety compliance. The team interacts daily with operations, maintenance, QA laboratory, customer care and 3rd party transportation services to ensure we meet our customers service level expectations and business plans.
As a Material Handler, you will…
· Ensure daily inbound and outbound truck, rail, and marine shipments adhere to plan.
· Help create and implement our daily logistics plan with the material handling team, operations, quality control, customer care and product/business management.
· Plan and perform transactions associated with scheduling of loading/unloading, goods receipt and issue, material movements and storage, fleet asset management, 3rd party transportation providers, records management, and inventory control.
· Be technology savvy and willing to utilize digital tools in the execution of day-to-day activities.
· Unload inbound raw materials and load outbound finished goods across three modes: truck, rail, and marine. As such, you must be able to adhere to PPE requirements, including respirators when appropriate, pass and maintain training requirements, support confined space work (i.e. tank and transportation inspections and cleaning), capable of physical requirements of communicating, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, lifting (25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally), in high noise and temperature conditions over the course of full shifts and/or expected overtime periods.
· Need to adhere to standard operating policies and procedures to ensure personal and site safety, product quality, as-intended equipment operations and reliability. This will include, but not limited to D.O.T. and U.S.C.G. regulations, HazMat certifications, Emergency Response training, Lock Out Tag Out requirements, PLC/HMI panel and tablet usage, asset inspections, maintenance requests and coordination, etc. to ensure safe and reliable operations.

· Have experience in chemical operations, site logistics, or material handling.
· Have existing systems knowledge (SAP, MS tools etc.) or will be willing to learn and utilize these tools in your daily job duties.
· Are willing to utilize digital tools in the execution of day-to-day activities.
