BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.
The Supplier and Reporting function provides a full fledge of roles in finance, operational planning, accounting, controlling, tax operations, reporting and analysis, cooperating closely with management team, investment project teams, business units and corporate function teams.

Job Responsibilities
•Initiate and implement end-to-end site capital expenditure investment project accounting tasks, from project work breakdown structure setup to asset capitalization, ensuring appropriate accounting guidelines and statutory requirements are applied and adhered to
•Advise and lead the work breakdown structure set-up for the project by defining asset class, reviewing engineering cost allocation rule, and performing asset capitalization
•Develop and ensure smooth operations and fulfilments of project accounting and fixed asset management with close interaction and coordination with various stakeholders including but not limited to Project Management teams, procurement teams, operational teams as well as financial accounting teams from both China, Asia Pacific Region and Central corporate teams
•Coordinate and ensure stakeholder are updated with relevant process documentation as well as alignment discussed
•Support capital expenditure investment related statutory statistics reporting and corresponding government incentive application, implementation and inspection, if applicable
•Support internal and external audits related to project accounting and fixed asset management
•Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities within the project accounting and fixed asset management scope
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines
•Minimum 6 years of relevant Finance & Accounting, Auditing or Controlling from MNCs
•Audit firm experience and CPA qualification will be of top priority
•Deep understanding of accounting guidelines and regulations
•Candidate with visual dashboard tools and low code programming skills is preferred
•Customer oriented, self-motivated with strong stakeholder management skills
•Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
