Job description

BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018 and officially commenced in November 2019, BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site Project would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. BASF Zhanjiang Verbund site would ultimately be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the digital technologies and applying the high safety standards.

We merge domain knowledge and state-of-the-art software tools to develop the best possible solutions for our internal business partners and support use cases of strategic importance for BASF.

Main taks

• You will manage a local product team as disciplinary and functional leader, that provides BIG tailer-made digital solutions for the Digitalization of Production and Technology for Zhanjiang Verbund Site
• These solutions include various BIG unique solutions for the Infrastructure, Off-Site & Utilities Cluster (e.g., the Demand-oriented Utility Operations Cockpit, waste management, …), as well as site overarching solutions like the Technical Training Accelerator
• You will interface directly with stakeholders at various levels of the organization to ensure strategic and tactical alignment, as well as overall stakeholder satisfaction
• You are responsible for BIG Digital Enablement, which covers the overall change management to ensure all 2500 employees of the BIG organization foster a digital mindset and work along the implemented digital processes. BIG Digital Enablement includes overarching training concepts for digitalization for various roles in the BIG organization, as well as stakeholder management and active change management to ensure the buy in of the entire site organization
• Your team is responsible for Information Protection for the division AM
• You will be responsible for the local product budget and resource management
• You are responsible for driving an agile team culture
• You are responsible for the development and coaching of your team

What we expect

• You have a background in IT, engineering or other related disciplines.
• Proven experience in project management for digitalization through both waterfall and agile concepts.
• First leadership experience or experience in leading project teams.
• Ideally hands-on experience in an agile setup (e.g. Kanban, Scrum).
• Ability to influence various stakeholders to align roadmaps, priorities, and drive change.
• Your profile is completed by your creative and motivated working style with a strong focus on innovation as well as your excellent communication skills, which define you as an effective team player.
