BASF is currently building a new Verbund site in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province. Announced in July 2018, BASF Guangdong Verbund site project would be BASF’s largest investment with up to US$10 billion upon completion and would be operated under the sole responsibility of BASF. The site would ultimately be the third-largest BASF site worldwide, and will be built into a role model for smart manufacturing and sustainable production by utilizing the latest digital technologies and applying the highest safety standards.

The Supplier and Reporting function provides a full fledge of roles in finance, operational planning, accounting, controlling, tax operations, reporting and analysis, cooperating closely with management team, investment project teams, business units and corporate function teams.

Job Responsibilities

•As key interface to management for controlling topics; As key contact to intercompany charging
•Implement cost charging and allocation according to the aligned principle, preparing related SLA and defining site service allocation together with the project organizations and other site stakeholders
•Manage cost centre for the unit, as well as monitor and analyze the cost development
•Prepare operational planning and CAPEX planning, and conduct gap analysis of the site services and company services, as well as provide regular update of the cost forecast
•Support month-end closing as bridge between unit end users and Finance team
•Drive to set-up or improve all relevant processes in the organization and monitor the implementation progress
•Prepare visualized cost report to management, and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines
•Minimum 5 years of relevant Controlling, project management experiences from MNCs
•Audit firm experience and CPA, CMA or equivalent professional qualification will be of top priority
•Deep understanding of business planning and analysis
•Candidate with visual dashboard tools, Macro, Python is a plus
•Agile working spirit and solution oriented with strong stakeholder management skills
•Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
