Where the Chemistry Happens…

 

As a Maintenance Operator you will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on plant, utilities, warehouse, laboratory, and office equipment to ensure equipment is available for use with minimal downtime.

Formula for Success: You Will…

 

·  Perform preventive maintenance/repairs on plant equipment and facilities as directed by the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that work is completed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Repairs/maintenance to equipment such as: boilers, air compressors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, production mixers and pumps, laboratory machinery, plumbing.
·  Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Contractors to ensure minimal equipment downtime or business interruptions.
·  Obtain equipment and supplies as needed to complete work orders and PMs. Ensure adequate supplies are maintained for items/parts used on a regular basis.
·  Respond to after-hours site security calls, ensure the site is secured and monitored equipment, such as steam boilers, is working properly.

 

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

 

·  Grade 12 education.
·  Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and office facilities.
·  Knowledge and experience with mechanical power transmission devices, pneumatic systems, steam systems and hydraulics.
·  Experience with the use of a PC, basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and operation of a forklift truck.
