Laboratory Technician – Beaumont, TX (2002055)
  We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in our quality control group in Beaumont TX.

This position is responsible for working safely in the laboratory with the following job expectations: 

·  Understand and follow all appropriate EHS and Q policies, actively participate in and support efforts to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues, and report unsafe acts or conditions in the laboratory to protect self and others from potential injury.
·  Accurately analyze, document, and communicate results of raw material, in-process, and final product samples analysis to facilitate efficient operations and acceptable product quality.
·  Under direction of laboratory supervisor, review and evaluate new analytical methods and procedures prior to implementation and perform testing for special projects in support of continuous improvement efforts.
·  Demonstrate your computer proficiency and knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems to help the site comply with the Product Assurance Plans.
·  Leverage your educational background in chemistry or a related scientific discipline to ensure laboratory instruments perform properly and are setup according to documented laboratory methods.
·  Support operations by developing, documenting and implementing analytical methods for raw material and final product release, in-process control and environmental compliance utilizing HPLC, ICP, IC, GC-FID, GC-MS, FTIR, wet chemistry, physical chemistry, and other analytical techniques.
·  Perform other laboratory tasks as directed by supervisor or quality manager
·  Work as part of the diversified QC team to meet department goals and deliverables in fast pace environment.
·  Demonstrate strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
·  Willingness to work shift schedules, holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic Qualifications   

· 

Associate degree required

·  3 years of laboratory experience required.

· 

Demonstrated ability to solve basic mathematical problems, reading comprehension, and mechanical aptitude 

Preferred Qualifications  

· 

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science discipline

· 

Knowledge of standard laboratory analytical techniques

· 

General knowledge of SAP

· 

Experience with ISO or other quality standards
