What you can expect

Our Simulation Engineering unit evaluates plastic component concepts on a virtual basis. As a member of an international team of material experts, simulation engineers and software developers, you will support your colleagues with tasks about simulation of plastic components for 3-9 months.

·  You perform calculations on internal test or customer components.
·  After that you evaluate and document your simulation results and discuss them with your colleagues.
·  Depending on the application, you use commercial simulation software such as Autodesk Moldflow, ABAQUS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, Open-Source-Solver or Code_Aster.
·  You will also get to know our internal simulation tool Ultrasim®.
·  At the end, you will have the possibility to write your thesis about the topic of the internship.

What we expect

·  You are enrolled in a scientific or technical Degree program (e.g. Physics or Mechanical Engineering) and have gained initial experience in FEM simulations.
·  During your studies you have acquired a good knowledge of Plastics Engineering as well as continuum or Fluid Mechanics.
·  Ideally, you also master programming languages such as Python, C / C ++ or Fortran and know the version management Git or SVN.
·  Your fluent German, English and possibly French skills will enable you to communicate openly and authentically.
