Objectives of the Position

For this role, you will work closely with the Global Liner Shipping & Drayage Asia Pacific team and you will gain insights of the detail procurement processes for Liner Shipping.

 

Main Tasks

·  Support the GCB for the Spot request for Airfreight and LCL transportation:
·  Receive the spot request from Business Units/Other Units (e.g. GB), align and clarify transport details
·  Run Request for Quotation’s (RFQ’s), evaluate and negotiate spot freight rates with Logistic Service Providers
·  Spot requests monitoring
·  Run internal needed approval and documentation
·  Others support which included:
·  Issues resolution for Airfreight, CEP and LCL
·  Supplier Performance Review
·  Freight Rates Maintenance
·  Vendor Master Maintenance

 

Requirements

·  Committed to a 6-month internship (Full timer & Part timer) from May/June 2022.
·  Students of Undergraduate / Bachelors preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain or Business Administration or any related disciplines.
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).
·  SAP knowledge is an added advantage.
·  Excellent time management, work prioritization and verbal communication skills.
·  Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
·  Flexible to work in hybrid workplace.
