JOIN THE TEAM

We are looking for an Full Stack Developer with a wide range of skills and knowledge to effectively develop and maintain both the front-end and back-end components of enterprise-grade IT solutions for BASF Agricultural Solutions:

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  You develop novel user interfaces and analytics modules for our biochemistry researchers to generate, manipulate, and visualize their data.
·  You will identify, extract, transform, load, integrate, and display data from multiple internal and external data sources.
·  To achieve this, you collaborate with internal and external IT partners, while Internal keeping frequent communication with the users to understand their needs and develop frequently tested solutions.
·  You can estimate development efforts in both time and required human capacity. You support the product owners on data science-related efforts (e.g., concepts, scalability, risk-management).
·  You will participate in and contribute to the global agricultural solutions, data science, and research & development communities at BASF.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, data sciences, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, natural science, or a related field of study o several years of working experience on complex data sets, in an agile manner.
·  Knowledge of front-end development with skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and familiarity with modern frameworks (e.g.Vue.js, React, Svelte, or Angular).
·  Hands-on experience with back-end work such as: ETL processes, using and setting-up both relational and non-relational databases, parsing and creating CSV, JSON & XML files.
·  Proficient use of Python and knowledge of Pandas and RESTful APIs (especially Fast API)
·  Excellent communication in English, language skills in German are plus.
·  Team player with innovational drive, analytical thinking and a fascination for data
