Field Compliance Summer Associate: Internship (91357)
Contract Duration: 4 – 6 months (Summer)
Location: Sherwood Park, AB
Wage: $22.00hr – $29.00hr
Formula for Success: You Will…
· As a Field Compliance Associate you will provide support to the compliance monitoring program, aiding in the advancement of new traits.
· You will have responsibilities for compliance monitoring and maintenance of trial site isolation areas and post-harvest sites to a high standard.
· Responsibilities include weekly monitoring of isolation areas and post-harvest sites for the presence of prohibited species and maintaining the sites to a standard expected by our organization and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency using techniques such as spraying, tilling, burning, and mowing.
· A key component in this role is ensuring standard operating procedures are maintained and followed.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
· You will possess strong agronomic competence through an agricultural background and a high level of attention to detail.
· You must demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations change.
· You must be able to work in a group as well as be self-motivated to get solo tasks accomplished.
· Mechanical aptitude and experience operating equipment is an advantage.
· Comfortable being on the road for extended periods of time, driving highway and grid roads to get to post harvest sites.
