Where the chemistry happens…

 

We are seeking a professional like you to join our Performance Chemical Division. In this position, you will support the development of solutions for our EOR Technical Service Team at the Houston, TX site. In this role, you will be in an oilfield laboratory primarily working with surfactants, polymers, and crude oil. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, solution preparation, sample testing, laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and results documentation.

 

As a EOR Technical Specialist, you create chemistry by…

 

·  Supporting the team by executing routine, non-routine, and complex tasks, operating, and maintaining equipment with minimum outside direction.
·  Running, maintaining, and modifying equipment and processes independently.
·  Having the ability to train team members on all tasks performed.
·  Serving as key individual regarding safety related issues.
·  Assisting in helping others complete tasks while effectively completing overall assignments.
·  Assuming a leadership role amongst the team and demonstrates superior team skills.
·  Contributing ideas and solutions by pulling from various resources and regularly solving problems using previous learnings

 

If you...

 

·  Have earned a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
·  Possess minimum 2 years of practical laboratory experience.
·  Are proficiency in general laboratory techniques and familiarity with basic laboratory instrumentation (e.g., balances, ovens, pH meters, etc.)
·  Have experience in technical documentation and the ability to interpret documents such as safety operating procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety data sheets.
·  Are flexible and capable of adapting to priority changes daily.
