RESPONSIBILITIES

We realize new chemical plants as well as plant modifications according to customer needs in Europe and continuously develop our Technical Contracting Team to support Large Capital Projects in Europe. We develop and apply effective contracting strategies for investment projects to support our project teams in the delivery of competitive investments. For our Projects you will act as a Technical Contract Manager from the start, joining the execution in the field and stay until the project is finalized.

·  You take over an active role in international projects participating in market studies, pre-qualifications, contract preparations, negotiations with contractors, contract execution in the field including Change and Claim management.
·  Further, you develop and support all contracting activities for the following contracting topics: EPC / EPCm, Service Orders for BASF's Engineering Partner, Engineering Service Contracts as well as Construction Contracts.
·  You liaise with Project Planning Managers to ensure appropriate schedules for subcontracts are produced and maintained, to support Project Claim strategy.
·  You preserve BASF's rights and entitlements as provided in the contracts.
·  Moreover, you ensure proper notices are given in line with contract requirements. 
·  Finally, you take over the management of claims to / from BASF and support the management of claims to / from contractors as well as sub-suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  at least 3 years working experience in the field of Large Capital Project execution
·  degree in business or a technical field
·  experience in contracting management activities
·  strong own initiative and passion for driving pragmatic solutions with entrepreneurial spirit
·  strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
·  good German and English language skills
·  willingness to travel frequently as well as to join the Project Execution in different locations in Europe (up to a local contract in the location)
