RESPONSIBILITIES
As Economic Evaluations Manager in our Corporate Development team, you are responsible for the financial analysis and validation of all strategic projects of the Battery Materials & Catalysts group.
· You lead the primary financial analysis activities to ensure appropriate economic evaluation of all major capital expenditure, restructuring, M&A and other strategic projects on a global basis.
· Moreover, you focus on implementation of the Battery Roadmap growth pillar of the BASF group and support regular update, alignment and project prioritization within the Battery Roadmap.
· As a partner with relevant business units, you understand the project rationale, strategic fit and business model, guide and challenge the BU and liaise effectively with other stakeholders in the division.
· Furthermore, you are responsible for the financial preparation of documents for BASF internal approval with input from respective BUs.
· You develop and apply models for appropriate project evaluation and sensitivities.
· Finally, you collaborate effectively with our central corporate functions (economic valuation, tax, treasury, legal etc.) responsible for supporting and evaluating strategic projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
· university degree with focus on business administration, economics, finance or related fields
· experience in a combination of the following disciplines: financial analysis, economic evaluations, strategic planning, controlling, finance, cost accounting, project management
· familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
· high motivation to achieve success in a dynamic and fast developing environment
· fluent language skills in English and German
