Where the chemistry happens…

 

The Customs Design Functional Expert coordinates business requirements in Customs & Foreign Trade for the corresponding region in close cooperation with Customs Operations and Information Services (IT/IS). In this role it is important to design, and implement IS tools and systems based on requirements for Customs & Foreign Trade Operations and ensure customs compliance in process design. In addition, support of BASF Business Units and SC Operations in Foreign Trade related IS requests and projects as well as in Mergers & Acquisitions.

As a Customs Design Functional Expert, you create chemistry by...

 

·  Designing Transactional processes to support duty savings for BASF Group and ensure implementation of necessary IS solutions
·  Proposing and Optimizing the Export and Imports customs declaration process with regards to IS solutions
·  Supporting M&A projects and manage Blueprint regarding IS solutions in the area of Customs & Foreign Trade
·  Coordinating / supporting the implementation of the regional BEX community for Customs & Foreign Trade
·  Proactively engaging BEX communities to ensure rollout of globally or regionally defined processes and conducting regional knowledge transfer for BEX communities during the Business Releases
·  Capturing and structuring all regional operational requirements regarding IS tools and applications, validating and requesting for projects

If you have...

 

·  Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or related fields
·  Very good knowledge of the SAP master data systems and SAP GTS
·  Good knowledge on Customs & Foreign Trade
·  Business Application Knowledge (e.g. SAP in OtC Functions) is desirable
·  Good SC Operations and Import/Export knowledge is desirable
·  Experience in project management is desirable
