Where the chemistry happens…
We are seeking a professional like you to support the daily onsite technical and process support of BASF coating, pretreatment and electrocoat products for our OEM client located in Wentzville, Missouri (outside St. Louis). You will respond to customer requirements, enforce product quality/performance specifications, and support new product/application development. You will also provide on-site technical expertise of product performance including proper system operation, defect identification, and corrective action.
Additionally, you will assure product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer’s supplier of choice. You will demonstrate the technical and professional expertise needed to enhance BASF’s reputation with the customer and integrate within the business and technical community to bring additional value to our coatings’ customers.
This is an off-shift role. (6pm-2am Monday-Friday with some Saturday's)
As a Coatings Site Service Rep I (CSSR I, You Create Chemistry By...
· Managing and improving BASF- coatings, pretreatment and electrocoat processes.
· Performing root cause analysis on observed defects, analyzing process data, and suggest corrective actions or changes.
· Following working instructions and JSAS.
· Leading others on varying shifts and making decisions without supervision.
· Demonstrating your leadership potential that showcases a flexibility to work shifts and weekends when necessary.
· Developing key internal and external relationships,
· Communicating with all levels of the customer organization to assess customer requirements
· Collaborating effectively with your team, management, and internal groups.
If you...
· Must have high school diploma or GED
· Must be reliable, punctual and ready to learn
· Have knowledge of coatings materials (a plus)
· Have laboratory or automotive plant experience with coating processes, and/or a background in technical support, product engineering or product launch (a plus)
· Have effective verbal and written communication skills will serve you well as you collect data and report-out process trends and status
· Have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Have proven experience with paint processes (including ancillary paint processes) and applications, as well as your working knowledge of metal pretreatment/electrocoating processes (including industrial application and associated performance requirements) (a plus)
· Have attention to detail in following written procedures
