JOIN THE TEAM

Business Analysts operate at the intersection of employees, available AI tools and the organization’s ability to develop new AI tools. They take time to understand and document user requirements and, leveraging their advanced knowledge of the AI marketplace, internal data availability and SDLC, recommend immediate solutions or next steps. By balancing the prospect of in-house development with what is “off-the-shelf”, the Analyst ensures our organization achieves both “quick wins” and “step-change” at the same time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Identify, gather and document the requirements of active or interested AI users or teams across the organization.
·  Analyze user/team requirements vis-a-vis knowledge of AI tool landscape, including those already available in-house and on the public market; work with AI Team to solve use-cases with existing tools.
·  Evaluate feasibility (e.g. technical constraints, data availability, resource requirements, etc) and potential impact of in-house AI tool developments; work with broader AI Team to translate high-level requirements into technical specifications and project plans.
·  Communicate technical concepts and project progress to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely; act as a continuous bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
·  Stay up-to-date on the latest AI advancements and applications inside and outside of BASF; brainstorm and conduct self-experiments to discover solutions for known usecases.
·  Provide insights and feedback to AI Team members to guide organizational roadmaps for new tool creation, ensuring alignment with market trends and best practices.
·  Collaborate with AI Team members to develop clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for key stakeholders re: the use, performance and benefits of AI tools/solutions across the organization.
·  Take smart risks and champion new ideas

QUALIFICATIONS

·  A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
·  Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
·  Experience working with external vendors or partners.
