Blend Technician (2000196) – Wyandotte, MI

 

Wyandotte’s R&D department is seeking an entry-level Blend Technician to blend chemicals for internal development use and for external customer trials and/or consumption. The Blend Technician supports team by independently performing assigned tasks. Responsibilities also includes but are not limited to…

·      Supports team by independently performing assigned tasks.      

·      Runs and maintains equipment and processes with some modification based on given    parameters                  

·      Basic determination of testing requirements

·      Has ability to understand instructions by supervisors and internal partners.             

·      Understands basic chemistry and is proficient in blending techniques   

·      Sets up molds and other process equipment with little direction from supervisors.                                     

·      Ability to understand and record data accurately.                                                   

·      Diligent work ethic.                  

·      Ability to work to a customer’s schedule.                        

·      Work overtime as required to meet project requirements.   

·      Contributes creative ideas to other team members and customers.        

·      Understands technical conversations relative to the subject matter.                                    

·      Works well with other team members to achieve project goals.  

·      Work a schedule to support internal partners and external customers.

Additional responsibilities:

·        Works in Safe manner at all times. 

·        Understands risks of all actions before proceeding with projects       

·        Keeps clean area and practices 5S techniques.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Basic qualifications:

High School Diploma   A minimum 2 years of blending experience Preferred qualifications:

·        Experience blending chemicals desired.  

·        Excellent communication skills

·        Capable of standing 8 hours per day.                                         

·        Ability to lift/carry50lbs
