Job description

Collect site specific needs for decision support in Verbund steering
Define how Verbund transparency, simulation and optimization (Verbund Optimizer solution) are integrated into the business processes and chemical production processes
Analyse the key differentiators and synergeis with other tools within BASF (Supply Chain, Cracker Optimization) with regards to:
1 Technical foundations, and software capabilities
2 Data flow, data architecture, data exchange
3 Use Cases of the tools

Support BASF´s digital services organization with building the interfaces to tools within BASF
1 Closely collaborate with data architects, software engineers and network modellers
2 Closely align with business stakeholders and implementation leads

Build up organisation for life-cycle use of Verbund Optimizer solution

•University degree in natural sciences, mathematics, (chemical) engineering, informatics or related
•2+years of work experience in operations of chemical production sites with understanding for business processes and value chain interdependencies
•Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to bridge gaps between use case and technical requirements
•Very good English and Chinese language skills, spoken and written
•Quick familiarization with software solutions, high flexibility in analysis tools
•Experience in software development, database knowledge, cloud platforms
•Involvement in project management, with an independent way of working and the ability to manage change
