We as Global Digital Services enable BASF’s digitalization and adoption of artificial intelligence. In agile teams, we develop innovative solutions for BASF and its customers, create exciting new customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer knowhow and access to latest technologies.

 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary architect like you to create and maintain an architecture that combines fast adoption of technological advances with efficient delivery and operation of scalable and secure solutions. Your primary objective will be to establish a robust framework that enables fast validation of novel technologies and methods and their seamless integration in production environments for optimal value and efficient operation.

 

Formula for Success: You Will…

 

·  Shape and continuously develop the overall architecture vision and roadmap for project using AI, considering all prerequisites end-to-end.
·  Drive innovation in close collaboration with success managers and product owners to maximize the value potential in AI adoption.
·  Stay up to date with latest technological developments in close collaboration with the experts in our AI lab.
·  Provide guidance and mentorship to project and product teams and ensure adherence to the architectural best-practices and standards, conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and reliable deliverables.
·  Identify potential risks, performance bottlenecks, as well as security and scalability challenges in the architecture and propose effective mitigation measures.

 

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

 

·  Degree (M.Sc./PhD) in computer science, mathematics, related engineering.
·  Extensive experience in software architecture design and practical implementation, strong hand-on developer experience is a plus.
·  Proven track record of successfully delivered complex software projects as solutions architect or in product management, preferably using machine learning and AI components, from conception to deployment.
·  Solid understanding of AI, ML, data science, data engineering and cloud technologies and the end-to-end process to make those work successfully from data acquisition, preparation, model building/training, deployment, and performance monitoring in operation.
·  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
·  Strong communication skills, ability to convince developers, preferably speaking experience or giving tutorials.
