RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our international Financial Reporting team and start your career as Accountant. In this position you will be responsible for the general ledger activities and act as an interface between different departments and our group headquarters. You will work closely with our group companies and ensure that all accounting processes run smoothly. In doing so, you will have the opportunity to continuously expand and apply your financial reporting expertise. 

·  You will process business transactions in the general ledger and in asset & lease accounting, as well as reconciliation of sub-ledgers.
·  You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and French GAAP in a timely manner.
·  Moreover, you are responsible for the monthly group reporting and to answer internal and external inquiries.
·  You are the central contact person in accounting matters for our subsidiaries in France, other finance departments and central finance units of BASF.
·  Furthermore, you will be involved in projects and participate in the development of tools and processes. Join us on our journey of implementing SAP S4/Hana in the upcoming years. 
·  Together with our partners you will actively contribute to further development of our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  degree in business administration / apprenticeship with focus on accounting or equivalent degree
·  good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and ideally experience with SAP R/3 or S4/Hana
·  very good knowledge of English, French is a big plus 
·  high motivation to achieve joint success in a team
·  independent way of working and analytical thinking characterize your working style

·  Gross annual salary (full-time): 36.000 - 42.000 €, depending on qualification and work experience. In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success as well as individual performance.
