As a Junior Tester, you will be responsible for assisting in the testing and quality assurance of software applications to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to identify, document, and track defects, as well as contribute to the overall improvement of product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Execute test cases under varying circumstances and document results.
· Identify, record, and track bugs using designated tracking tools.
· Collaborate with the development team to understand application features and requirements.
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of test plans and test scripts.
· Participate in test planning and estimation activities.
· Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
· Provide feedback on usability, functionality, and consistency of the applications.
· Assist in the preparation of test reports and documentation.
· Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and practices.
· Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
· Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) is advantageous.
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
