Job description

What you do 

Tender management team orchestrates strategic & sizable tenders across all geographical regions and lines of business (e.g. Automotive, New & Micro Mobility, Travel, Ticketing & Lodging), ensuring standardized processes, efficiency, clear roles & responsibilities, strategic value propositions and best practices, with the ultimate aim to grow partnership business. We professionalize management of tenders with a full commitment to simplify the complexity, reduce the workload of internal stakeholders, foster internal & external collaboration, and help Allianz Partners achieve business targets.
We are positioned at the center of business opportunities, steer and coordinate all Allianz stakeholders, including Allianz Operating Entities, Allianz Partners Business Units, GSP Key Account Management & Business Development departments, LoBs (Mobility, RSA, Travel), and other Allianz Partners functions, such as Legal, Underwriting, Operations, Global Sales Support, Organizational Management, IT, etc.. Tender management team to be in touch with the global strategic partners and clients throughout the tender process (e.g., participation to OEM workshops and tender pitch meetings when/if necessary). Tender management is a continuous improvement process, structured with pre-tender, tender and post-tender phases, adding value to central and local propositions and helping markets develop new partnership models.
 
Pre-Tender Phase: Pipeline Management & Proactive Planning
- Support tender managers in creating a transparent GSP-wide pipeline of expected/upcoming local and multi-market (regional, global) tenders/opportunities and update it in close collaboration with the Key Account Management and Business Development of GSP Automotive, New & Micro Mobility and Travel, Ticketing & Lodging.
- Perform a) local and central capabilities, market(s), customer, client and competition analysis to ensure that all parties are prepared in the best possible way.
 
Tender Phase: Proposal
- Support tender managers for efficient project management: Help them define the deal team setup, top mgmt. involvement (e.g. steering committee) using tender management thresholds, touch-points/meetings and frequency. Leverage templates for all touch-points that have been created by Tender Management
- Support tender managers for superior delivery: Help them 1) Create the proposal (submission documents) 2) Compare the proposal with client request and competition. 3) Secure integration of best practices and winning value propositions into RfI, RfP, RfQ process, 4) Update Tender Library (value proposition catalogue).
 
Post-Tender Phase: Post-deal analysis & proper handover
- Perform post-deal analysis after each won as well as lost tender to derive & consolidate learnings, attention points & optimization measures to ensure and secure future success
- Help tender managers feedback to relevant stakeholders and secure application of previous learnings for new opportunities, use this analysis to change & improve central proposition and local capabilities & partnership models. For won deals, create holistic & standardized tender/ deal documentation in close collaboration with key account manager or business development managers to hand over the program to implementation teams (relevant LoBs or Global Sales Support, who are involved and informed throughout the entire tender phase).


What you bring 

  • Student of Economics, Computer Science or related fields within interdisciplinary programs
  • Excellent understanding of Mobility Mega trends and challenges (Automotive, Travel, Ticketing & Lodging, New & Micro Mobility) 
  • Solid experience in project management
  • Proficiency regarding insurance regulations (e.g. group insurance contracts)
  • Deep understanding of industry requirements and respective winning value propositions
  • Experience in complex multi-stakeholder setting
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, presentation skills with the ability to influence, persuade and to capture an audience with ease plus ability to interact with the top management
  • Experience with Power Point, research, analysis skills
  • Excellent English (written and spoken) + any other language (especially German, French and / or Spanish) is a plus
