Job description

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The Technical Solutions Architect (TSA) manages the functional and non-functional specifications, including detailed analysis of technical components of the Core Insurance applications, particularly Xuber (Xchanging) GENIUS. The TSA is also responsible for various work package tasks within project delivery.

Future Challenges:
Integration of FFIC applications and processes into AGCS' application landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design:

Analyze the business requirements and processes within AGCS to support the development of Functional and Product specifications, including IT infrastructure for AGCS Core Insurance systems, applications, interfaces and infrastructure, particularly Xuber (Xchanging) GENIUS. Lead work stream efforts for project delivery.

IT Support:

Coordinate software development and design scope for AGCS Global IT projects. Continuously share best practices and approaches across teams, offering support when required. Cooperate with other AGCS delivery teams (IT, OBT, FinSol) to ensure interoperability of solutions. Jointly responsible to ensure no losses to business functions or transaction processing due to the non-availability or poor performance of systems and applications.

Management / Expertise:

Functionally lead a small number of Specialists and other team leaders that are geographically dispersed and ensuring continuity of process and service when required.

Conduct IT Analysis:

Analyze, study or examine business, functional and technical requirements in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions. In depth evaluation of existing architecture / systems / processes. Creation of solution concepts.

Stakeholder Management:

Develop and positively influence key, strategic position stakeholders across locations and functions. Monitor realization of concepts and act as escalation instance. Manage the work stream delivery of 3rd party service providers.

Company Policies:

Conduct analysis on whether IT policies/standards are being followed, follow up and apply in cases where necessary. Report to IT management on results. Implementation of Group initiatives, standards, policies and evolve the services provided.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Required experience:

IT Professional experience (ideally financial services sector).

Experience in managing projects/tasks in a global environment.

Technical experience in relevant platforms and technologies of AGCS IT Global Target Architecture.

International work experience / worked abroad.

Required education:

University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional IT qualifications (i.e., ITIL, OPEX).

Technical skills:

Ability to understand and interpret technical designs of databases, platforms, architecture, etc.

Process workflow & documentations skills.

Project Management ability with competency to manage diverse stakeholders and project resources, steering and controlling in an international business environment.

Experienced in design and architecture topics with middleware solutions such as WebSphere and Red Hat JBoss Fuse.

General skills:

Ability to develop, implement, and communicate technical decisions, functional and non-functional requirements.

Experienced in peer review processes for software design and development.

Confidently express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.

International, multi-cultural business acumen.
