About the Job

The Technical Lead leads a team of engineers to build and evolve the Global SDLC Dashboard, a strategic internal platform that enables data-driven decisions across Allianz teams worldwide. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with measurement strategy, guiding the design, development, and implementation of the dashboard while driving adoption across hubs. You'll provide development expertise, communicate the measurement of vision in practical ways, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the platform delivers value. 


What you do 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and ensure the project aligns with strategic goals and delivers in the right direction.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of our Global SDLC Dashboard platform.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, providing innovative solutions for long-term maintainability.
  • Act as a first point of contact for teams to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate environment preparation.
  • Design onboarding materials (quick-start guides, FAQs, metric explanations) and processes with clear milestones to drive dashboard adoption.
  • Contribute ideas that shape future measurement concepts, exploring AI productivity and developer experience metrics.

 

What you bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience with proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role, with a strong track record of leading successful IT projects.
  • Strong backend development skills in building data aggregation pipelines, RESTful APIs, and integration services using Java with Spring Boot (company core stack), Kotlin, Go or Python. Experience with DevOps metrics platforms, ETL processes, and API integrations with GitHub, Jira, and other DevOps tools.
  • Proficient in relational database design and optimization with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including data modeling for DevOps metrics such as DORA metrics and query optimization for analytics workloads. Experience with NoSQL such as mongoDB is a plus
  • Expertise in modern frontend development using Angular with TypeScript (company core stack) or other frameworks such as React or Vue.js, along with strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for building interactive dashboards and data visualization interfaces with responsive UI/UX design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Kubernetes/Docker for containerization and deployment. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline design, GitOps workflows, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Familiarity with Grafana or similar observability/analytics platforms (Power BI, Dynatrace) for metrics visualization and dashboard design. Ability to analyze existing dashboard solutions and transform them into custom web applications with enhanced UX.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs) and recommendation systems, with the ability to integrate AI-powered insights and automated recommendations into analytics platforms to enhance decision-making capabilities. Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, Data Engineering, or AI/ML are a plus.
