JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
The Team Lead for Core Data Process Engineering plays a pivotal role in empowering investment professionals by overseeing the technical transformation and enrichment of our clients data. This role is dedicated to providing added value across all facets of Investment Data, ensuring that it serves as the refined material that alleviates the lives of our clients. With a passion for Core Data Processes, the Team Lead will guide the team in leveraging state-of-the-art warehousing concepts and technologies to transform data into ready-to-use information. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
People management
· Managing the team of experts, supporting and fostering performance, taking disciplinary responsibility, managing and prioritizing tasks, developing, coaching and motivating your direct reports.
Functional Management
· Manage implementation and provision of core data processes in close cooperation and alignment with our experts in Sales & Account Management, Client Operations and Business Analysis to support our Client’s needs for Analysis and Reporting Services
· Ensure consistency of solution designs with IDS’ overall Business and IT Architecture.
· Foster a culture of openness to technological innovation and continuous improvement.
· Ensure continuous modernization of our company’s pivotal service cornerstone by working closely together with Enterprise Architecture, e.g. in EA roadmap initiatives (technical studies, Research & Development, Proof of Concepts) assessing respective improvement potential, integration into the development eco system
· Ensure compliance with company-wide data software development lifecycle policies and establish and support implementation of consistent guidelines and rules in the data warehousing realm
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· University degree in (business) information technology, mathematics, economics with IT focus or comparable degree or work experience
· Several years of professional experience in leadership in teams
· Profound knowledge of Data Warehousing and Application Development concepts & principles
· In-depth work experience involving knowledge of Financial Markets, Accounting, Risk or Performance Analytics:
- know-how related to development & provision of solutions e.g. for institutional customers
- basic understanding of complex instruments and asset classes
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· High degree of analytical thinking, motivation, autonomy and an above-average willingness to perform
· Understand complex functional requirements to develop best in-class technical solutions for our products and services
· High solution-orientation and ability to make decisions as well as taking responsibility
· Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do-attitude
· High Level of Customer Orientation:
- capacity to anticipate evolving customer needs, recognize trends, drive and support development of new products/services and processes that add value for the customer
- suited to create sustainable internal customer relationships and to secure optimal solutions for the whole Business
· Able to change perspectives and to convincingly obtain buy-in of all stakeholders
· Language skills in both English and German
