The role
The primary purpose of this role is to lead a combined office-based and remotely working team across Australia to meet Allianz operational goals across Property Claims.
You'll be responsible for
· Driving a continuous improvement mind-set across the Property claims team through understanding the needs, capabilities, and development requirements for each individual member of the team.
· Driving the performance of the property claims team to ensure the achievement of financial year budgets on Volume, Quality, Cost, Customer and Timeliness metrics.
· Act as escalation point by assisting in resolving complex queries or complaints beyond the skills, knowledge, or authority of team members.
· Lead, coach, mentor and develop a team with the aim of improving negotiation, customer service and technical skills, ensuring that tasks, accountabilities, and development opportunities are apportioned equitably, creating a focused, capable and engaged team.
· Owning and driving risk incidents and mitigation, with a strong focus towards adherence to the Code of Practice, including complaint management.
· Seeking out business improvement opportunities with a lens towards driving claims towards areas of the business achieving AAL Strategic Priorities.
About you
· Significant experience working in a customer service role with people leadership experience in managing remote teams supported by a strong understanding of property claims management principles.
· Ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions during expected and unexpected situations and then taking responsibility for the consequences of decisions taken.
· Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
· Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome for AAL.
· Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
