We are looking for a Senior Claims Handler Property and Liability (m/f/d), based in Stockholm.

Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional claims management services while upholding Allianz Commercial Claims Standards. We collaborate closely to ensure high-quality service for our internal and external customers, fostering strong relationships with brokers and clients. 

 

The Impact You Will Have  

As a Senior Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing standard claim types in both lead and following capacities. You will ensure compliance with established authority limits and procedures, while utilizing third-party service providers to achieve efficient outcomes. Your expertise will guide the team and contribute to the overall success of the claims process. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Claims Processing and Administration: Handle all standard claim types, maintain accurate records in Allianz Commercial systems, and support the credit control process in collaboration with Underwriting and Accounts. 

• Investigation and Reserving of Claims: Investigate claims, assess coverage, determine reserving levels, and direct independent external service providers. 

• Settlement: Settle claims through payment or denial, negotiate competitive outcomes, and support subrogation processes. 

• Referrals and Compliance: Ensure claims handling adheres to authority limits and Allianz Commercial Claims Standards, preparing necessary documentation for referrals when required. 

• Market Management and Coaching: Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing clients, provide training and support to junior team members, and engage with industry functions. 

• Relationship Management: Represent Allianz Commercial positively in the market, collaborate with various functional areas, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

  • At least 3 years of claims handling experience in the area of Property and/or Liability expertise. Experience within Financial Lines is also meriting. 

  • Flexibility and interest to learn claims handling on other products. 

  • Expert knowledge of the entire claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery. 

  • Advanced understanding of relevant products, wordings, terms, conditions, and local insurance markets. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders. 

  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills, capable of achieving favorable outcomes in contentious situations. 

  • Ability to analyze data effectively and persuade others to take action without executive authority. 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
