About the Job
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on infrastructure enablement for Generative AI and Machine Learning workloads. You will design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure platforms that empower internal teams globally to deploy and manage AI workloads seamlessly.
What you do
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable Azure infrastructure for GenAI workloads, including compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
- Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines with Terraform, provisioning infrastructure-as-code efficiently.
- Provision and maintain GPU-enabled compute resources tailored for AI applications.
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and error handling.
- Support business needs by developing and optimizing SQL programs and queries.
- Ensure security and compliance by implementing RBAC, managed identities, network isolation, and infrastructure hardening.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design infrastructure solutions aligned with data, analytics, and AI strategies.
- Monitor costs and resource usage, setting up budgets and alerts to optimize GenAI infrastructure spend.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and Generative AI services and provide recommendations for adoption.
What you bring
- Strong experience with Terraform, PowerShell, Python, YAML/JSON, Azure networking, security (Entra), and DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure OpenAI services is highly valued.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for infrastructure deployment.
- Solid understanding of security and governance principles such as RBAC, managed identities, firewall and network security rules.
- Familiarity with Azure cost management and budget optimization practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
