About the role
· Underwriting commercial property business in accordance with the AAL Underwriting Framework, Allianz Standards for Underwriting (ASU), and within delegated authority limits.
· Providing accurate and timely quotations for new business, renewals, and endorsements aligned with underwriting strategy and tailored to customer needs and circumstances.
· Managing end-to-end underwriting workflows (including new business, renewals, and endorsements) to ensure effective delivery of products and services.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients across a designated portfolio, ensuring consistent communication and informed risk assessment.
· Monitoring market trends and conditions within the region and line of business (LOB) and maintaining a strong market presence while sharing insights within Allianz.
About you
· Proven experience in an operational or commercial underwriting role within a complex, matrixed general insurance organisation.
· Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and organise tasks, effectively managing competing demands and resources.
· Solid understanding of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements affecting the general insurance sector.
· Analytical mindset with critical thinking skills, capable of interpreting data, identifying trends and patterns, and informing sound underwriting decisions.
· Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality, accurate work and communicate with clarity and impact.
