About the role
• Supporting the delivery of customer segment strategy, incorporating insights from the market, competitor, and customer research.
• Incorporating the breadth of internal and external market and customer data and analytics to drive the portfolio strategy.
• Supporting the delivery of projects and initiatives that are focusing on improving customer outcomes including retention, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), frontline education, and digital customer journey improvements.
• Developing and implementing regular monitoring and benchmarking of market and competitor activities and developing insights to inform the strategy development.
• Supporting the product teams with the development of new products or changes to products as informed by analysis, market and customer research, and sharing these insights with the broader Consumer team.
• Obtaining and collating customer research and feedback and working with the product teams to ensure that our products are delivering sustainable customer-centric outcomes.
• Contributing insights and ideas as the Technical SME across enterprise-wide initiatives and identifying emerging risks and opportunities relating to the Consumer products and portfolios.
About you
• Experience working within a product/portfolio management role with a General Insurance organisation.
• Advanced data analytical skills and experience working with internal/external data, and analytical tools such as excel, SAS, SQL or Python would be preferred but not essential.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities to evaluate complex alternatives, make confident judgments and develop innovative, sophisticated solutions.
• Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy and valuable analytical solutions with key business stakeholders,
• Demonstrating in-depth understanding of strategy development and is able to work with multiple teams to align department strategy with organisation vision, translating vision to action to achieve desired results.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or industry recognised accreditation.
