Motor Underwriter

Job description

This role is responsible to provide assistance and support to the Underwriting team in all aspects of underwriting operations, policies and procedures in line with Allianz Group requirements.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

 

·  Technical UW Execution - Responsible for underwriting direct and inward policies for Singapore across P&C Lines with a primary focus on Motor, including managing case referrals and portfolio/fleet underwriting.
·  UW Guidelines - Provide product & UW training to distribution team on UW guidelines and frameworks. Function as contact point for product/UW clarification from other internal teams, including but not limited to Distribution and Claims.

 

Capabilities and Qualifications:

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
·  Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in Motor underwriting. However, fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
·  Strong team player with effective organizational and communication skills.
·  High level of integrity and accountability, with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
·  Ability to multitask and perform well under tight deadlines.
·  Experience in a start-up or small company environment is a plus, especially where cross-functional ownership and entrepreneurial mindset are valued.
