Systems Specialist (AGS 6) – Linux Administration and Operations Support for Linux based Risk Management Applications

Job Summary

ORA (Other Risk Applications) is a group of applications to calculate Property/Casualty Risks, Operational risks & credit risks for Solvency II regulatory requirements. ORA consists of four main applications CRisP, PRISM, MKMV and OpeRA. He/she will be working from Allianz Technology Trivandrum for the team ORA as a Linux Administrator and Operations support for Credit Risk and Limit Management Applications.

Major Responsibilities

·       Installation, configuration, performance tunings of Tomcat Application server and Apache Webserver.

·       Support Server Migration, upgradation and Oracle/PostgreSQL/DB2 Database related activities.

·       Work closely with development and testing team during the product development life cycle.

·       Application deployments and troubleshooting.

·       RedHat Linux administration tasks.

·       work with DevOps Tools such as GIT Hub, Jenkins, CodeQL, CI/CD and Groovy scripting.

·       Need to closely work with customers and coordinate with different Stakeholders.

·       Providing Linux Administration and Operations Support for Linux based Risk Management Applications

·       Act as a single point of contact for all Linux based Risk Management Applications requests (Level 2 requests)

·       Liaise closely with level 3 support and service management in Munich

·       Monitor and manage smooth execution of Linux based Risk Management Applications        (Provide Level 2 Support to users/customers)

·       Resolving all service requests, incidents and problems (Level 2) related to Linux based Risk Management Applications  in time with expected quality

·       Manages configuration, installation and administration of Linux based Risk Management Applications

·       Documenting all issues in the ticketing tool, knowledge transfer sessions and issue resolution approaches

·       PowerShell/VBA/Batch scripting for Automations and simplifications

·       Need to closely work with customers and coordinate with different Stakeholders.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

·       Graduate or Post Graduate

Experience

·       3-6 yrs experience in Linux administrator.

·       3-6 yrs experience in Application Operations support

·       Experience in working with global delivery model for international clients

Technical Skills

·       Experience with installation and environment configuration along with administration of middleware Technologies like Tomcat, JBoss and Apache Webserver.

·       Understanding of Java Run-time Environment including memory utilization, performance tuning, analyzing heap dumps and stack traces and general troubleshooting.

·       Good Knowledge in Linux administration and Shell scripting.

·       Good Experience in Troubleshooting various application server and network related issues.

·       Experience in migrating application and DB servers like Apache, Tomcat, Linux versions.

• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub and Maven.

·       Experience in supporting Production environment.

• Experience of PostgreSQL database and networking.
• Experience on Public cloud like Azure, AWS
• Knowledge on GenAI agents/tool would added an advantage.
• Experience with Monitoring tools like ICINGA,GRAFANA and Dynatrace etc..
• Awareness of critical concepts of DevOps, Agile Principles and CPI Process.
• Awareness of JIRA and confluence
