The role

The purpose of the Lease Occupancy Portfolio Manager role is to oversee and manage the organisation’s leased property portfolio, ensuring compliance with lease agreements, optimising costs, and aligning lease strategies with business objectives. The role also leads the strategic planning and management of workplace occupancy, ensuring efficient space allocation, supporting workplace transitions, and providing data-driven insights to create a flexible cost-effective, and productive work environment.

 

Main responsibilities

·  Create and execute lease and occupancy strategies that align with business objectives, optimize financial outcomes, and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
·  Lead space planning and allocation to maximize efficient utilization, support workforce requirements, and drive cost efficiencies through strategic analysis of occupancy data.
·  Oversee property leases, renewals, terminations, and compliance while acting as the primary liaison with stakeholders, landlords, and service providers for effective lease management.
·  Coordinate office moves, consolidations, and reconfigurations to adapt to business changes, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
·  Develop and maintain accurate lease and occupancy data, providing insights and key metrics for business planning, financial modelling, scenario planning, and identifying process improvements.

 

About you

·  Proven expertise in lease management, workplace strategy, and occupancy planning, aimed at improving business efficiency within complex organizational settings.
·  Skilled in utilizing lease management, space planning, and workplace management tools, such as CAFM/WMS software and data visualization platforms.
·  Comprehensive understanding of workplace regulations, including health, safety, accessibility, and compliance standards.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of interpreting occupancy data to deliver strategic insights and solutions.
·  Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, coupled with project management experience in workplace transitions, office relocations, and reconfigurations.
