Junior Business Development Manager (f/m/d) - Wholesale Distribution Germany & Austria

Job description

We are currently seeking a committed, forward-thinking, and results-oriented Junior Business Development Manager to join our Business Development Wholesale Germany & Austria team. This position is located in our Frankfurt office.
 


Providing comprehensive and optimal support to our distribution partners is our highest priority. The focus of this role will be on managing relationships with distribution partners through daily interactions with the central units of our major partners, working collaboratively alongside senior Business Development Managers.
 
 
What you will do 
 
•    Collaborate closely with Senior Business Developers who oversee client relationships to drive growth and success.
•    Play a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding business relationships with asset managers, major and private banks, wealth managers, and multi-family offices throughout Germany, Austria, and Central Eastern Europe. 
•    Collaborate and coordinate with departments such as fund management, product management, marketing and events, business management, operations, legal and compliance, as well as across the entire distribution teams to deliver optimal service to our clients.
•    Ensure all regulatory and reporting requirements of our clients are fully and promptly met, and that all client activities are accurately recorded in the CRM tool.
•    Maintain high levels of client engagement and initiative to achieve the team's sales targets.
•    Serve as a regular point of contact for organizational, technical and operational inquiries from distribution partners, including organizing and managing Requests for Proposals (RfPs).
•    Develop and create tailored sales and product materials in collaboration with our major distribution partners.
•    Organize, execute, and support sales events both in-person and digitally.
•    Conduct product presentations for selected clients either independently or alongside a Senior Business Developer.
 
 
What you bring  
 
•    Educational background: Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Pursuit or possession of additional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, CIIA/CEFA is highly desirable.
•    Experience: Minimum of 2 years in supporting mutual fund distribution within the wholesale, retail or institutional sector in Germany & Austria, or in similar client-facing roles. Proven experience and established contacts within the wholesale client segment in these regions is desirable.
•    Financial and regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of traditional asset classes and financial markets, basic understanding of Private Markets and foundational knowledge of the regulatory landscape.
•    Customer focus and communication skills: Remarkable service orientation and communication skills, with experience in building, supporting and maintaining client relationships. Confident, persuasive, and committed approach.
•    Personal attributes and strategic thinking: Solution-oriented with high initiative and adaptability. Ability to think and act conceptually to drive business objectives. Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, with a strong team-player mentality.
•    Language proficiency: Fluent in German (native speaker level) and English, both written and spoken
•    Technical skills: Proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, and CRM tools (preferably Salesforce). Familiarity with GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Co-Pilot or similar is required.
