As an Investment Manager Expert within our ALM and Investment Strategy team, you occupy a pivotal role at the intersection of finance, risk, and strategy. You are not just managing assets; you are ensuring the long-term financial resilience of Allianz Benelux by optimizing our balance sheet and developing innovative investment solutions for our clients. Your Responsibilities
- Strategic Asset Allocation: Optimize balance sheet revenues by selecting appropriate asset classes and financial products within a risk- and solvency-driven framework.
- Portfolio Oversight: Monitor and instruct world-class asset managers (such as AGI and PIMCO) to implement investment strategies, focusing on timing, P&L management, and performance.
- Global Collaboration: Partner with Allianz Investment Management (AIM) hubs globally to share market insights and discuss emerging financial opportunities.
- Product Innovation: Support the development and management of Unit-Linked funds and specific client mandates, providing investment input for pricing and hedging.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as an investment expert in presentations to brokers, banking networks, and large corporate clients.
- Risk & Solvency: Support the Risk Management department in implementing the Solvency II Internal Model and assessing its impact on investment strategies.
Your Profile
You are a quantitative thinker with a passion for financial markets and a Master’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or Actuarial Sciences. You bring 1 to 4 years of experience in Finance or Insurance, where you have gained practical exposure to Investment Management, ALM, or Market Risk. You possess the unique ability to translate complex quantitative analyses into clear, understandable insights for diverse stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential, and a good command of Dutch and/or French is a significant advantage. Technically, you are proficient in Office tools; experience with Python, R, or SQL is considered a strong asset. Above all, you are a motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
