About the Job
The Head of Controlling is responsible for overseeing the financial controlling function within Allianz Technology. This role involves leading a team of financial professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting & steering, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. This includes the design of the strategic (SD) and planning dialogue (PD) with Allianz SE, responsibility for annual planning and performance measurement as well as for internal and external reporting for all services and projects incl. detailed controlling in a business partner function with all AZ Technology businesses.
The position holder is also responsible for the controlling of international AZ Technology branches/subsidiaries and their set-up from a controlling perspective. The Head of Controlling will work closely with the CFO and senior management to provide insights and recommendations that drive financial performance and support business objectives.
What you do
· Lead and manage the controlling team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
· Controlling of international AZ Technology branches (incl. planning, forecast, reporting, reserving) and provides operative support with regard to controlling topics
· Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Designs strategic dialog (SD) and planning dialogue (PD).
· Develop and implement effective budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by senior management.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including financial reporting standards.
· Collaborate with other departments to support business planning and performance management.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the controlling function.
· Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
· Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives by providing financial expertise and analysis.
· Manage relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders as required.
What you bring
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
· Extensive experience in financial controlling in CAPEX intense environment and/or Technology.
· Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
· Proficiency in financial software and tools.
· Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
