Who will you be joining?

Global Property & Casualty (P&C) is a Group Center of Allianz SE, based in Munich. Mandated to drive Property & Casualty profit enhancement globally, Global P&C supports operating entities (OEs) to develop a competitive advantage in their markets, to create a self-sustaining culture of improvement within the Allianz Group, to foster Property & Casualty talent development and to enhance Technical Excellence (TEX) in P&C. An international team with diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, Global P&C has 90+ colleagues from over 20 countries.  

     

How can you make an impact?

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Global P&C and the leadership team as well as senior leaders at Allianz SE Group and Operating Entities level, driving the core topic of Technical Excellence in claims, as we deliver on our priorities and strategic ambitions.  

 

You will:

·  Lead the claims topic and the claims team within Global P&C. Be responsible for the claims contribution to the joint Global P&C definition, alignment and delivery of the department´s priorities and strategic ambitions, in particular the end-to-end P&C perspective including data-driven insights and financial performance
·  Be a key contact partner for senior stakeholders across the organization, from the Board of Management to fellow Allianz SE Group Center Heads, business divisions and OE Leadership
·  Ensure effective claims governance and controls are in place for the Property & Casualty business segment by managing the Group Claims Committee and Leadership Circle, the Functional Rules for Claims Management, and the Functional Rules for Minimum Data Standards for claims
·  Drive and support the continued transformation of Allianz's Property & Casualty business by further developing Technical Excellence standards and frameworks for advancing the focus on claims management effectiveness, setting minimum data requirements for OEs to monitor financial claims performance, and achieve appropriate balance of efficiency and effectiveness, as well as operational priorities
·  Monitor and report on OE achievement of main KPIs on Fraud, Recoveries, Provider Management effectiveness, future KPIs as they evolve
·  Build the Technical Excellence capability of the Allianz Claims Community through continued evolution and alignment of the Head of Claims and related P&C Academy trainings with strategic priorities, as well as setting the annual program for best practice sharing through the Global Claims Expert Network (GCEN)
·  Manage and continually enhance the frameworks for reviewing, assessing, and reporting the Technical Excellence of OEs, monitor OE action plans, and provide support for OEs in achieving TEX ambitions
·  Be a champion for Technical Excellence and lead the embedding of TEX requirements into scalable Group Assets through close collaboration with key stakeholders, especially on data and IT topics, and business ownership of e.g. the Group Anti Fraud Solution
·  Support OEs with the execution of the claims strategy across Commercial as well as Retail, Fleet and SMC  (Small/ Medium Commercial) and drive performance improvements globally
·  Identify strategic opportunities for collaboration with both Group and OE colleagues as well as Centers of Competence, e.g. Cyber

 

 

What are you made of?

 

 

·  Proven knowledge of the insurance industry, in particular Property & Casualty across multiple lines of business
·  Experience in Property & Casualty claims, including claims operations and financial performance, as well as demonstrated outcomes through close interaction and strategic collaboration with actuarial, portfolio management, pricing, controlling, data and IT. Experience in other technical areas like underwriting, pricing, product or portfolio management is a plus
·  Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities and strong technical skills, including the application of AI, with the ability to connect different pieces of information, develop strategies and to identify areas of opportunity or concern
·  Natural and proven leader as well as a team player, with demonstrated strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills
·  Forward-looking, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on impact and delivery
·  Demonstrated experience of successfully driving change and transformation, including ensuring effective governance 
·  Willingness to work in an international environment with excellent cross-cultural skills
·  Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build effective relationships, adapt to a wide range of stakeholders and influence positively
·  Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus. 
·  Ability to represent Allianz professionally in external environments e.g. Conferences, Media events
