Job role
The principal objective of the role is to assist in the effective and efficient running of Financial Reporting function. The person will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting the month end process, regulatory returns, and internal Allianz plc and Group reporting.
What you will do
Monthly/Quarterly
- Preparation of account reconciliations for all assigned accounts for review by management
- Investigating and querying any unreconciled differences liaising with relevant departments to ensure accounts are fully reconciled
- Strict timely production of quarterly reporting including, line of business reporting / Carve out
- Preparation of CFO letters
- IFRS ECCS uploads and reconciliations P&L and BS
- MVBS uploads and reconciliations
Governance and Committee Support
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with preparation of reports and presentations for monthly Board of Management and quarterly Board of Director and relevant sub-committee meetings
- Prepare and circulate key monthly management trading information and reconciliations
- Prepare and coordinate third party statutory returns including regulatory filings
Year End Audit
- Responsible for dealing with audit queries within the Financial reporting function.
- Support the preparation of the financial statements, regulatory reporting including SFCRs
- Liaising with various different departments to gather information in a timely fashion
Customer Focus
- Communicating in a timely manner with both internal and external customers
- Providing support and backup for other Senior Accountant roles
- Supporting innovation and continuous improvement of processes
What you bring
- Knowledge and experience in accounting
- Prior General Ledger experience – SAP
- Strong insurance accounting experience would be a plus
- Demonstrated experience of coordinating and delivering highly accurate output in an environment of multiple deadlines
- Proven ability to manage and complete a variety of projects simultaneously
You have
- University Degree (preferably Accounting, Economics or Finance)
- Strong accounting skills. IFRS 17 and insurance accounting skills are a plus
- SAP Knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office (primarily Excel)
- Fluent in English
