As part of Group Digital Resilience, the Group Incident Coordination (GIC), located within Allianz SE, prepares for and responds to changes and unforeseen disruptions to safeguard Allianz's business operations (including IT and Non-IT), personnel, physical assets, and high-standing reputation, thereby ensuring the security of our organization. The Incident Coordination (IC) Expert operates alongside other team members to manage Operational Resilience, with a key focus area: the EU wide Digital Operational Resilience Act, or DORA. The IC Expert role is responsible for incident assessment and notification to stakeholders appropriate and communication with leadership and operating entities to ensure seamless execution of the incident management process until closure. The role will involve working within a motivated team to deliver best-in class service in Protection & Resilience for global customers that fulfills internal and regulatory requirements in alignment with DORA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in security monitoring, incident management, crisis coordination, or related operations (global/regional exposure is a plus)
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
- Calm under pressure; decisive, structured, customer-focused; effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with cross-cultural collaboration and virtual teamwork.
- Familiarity with NIS2, DORA, and ITIL is highly desirable.
Skills
Technical:
- Incident triage and impact assessment.
- Advisory writing; documentation discipline.
- Familiarity with case/ticketing (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Basic to intermediate data/reporting literacy (e.g., Excel/Power BI).
- Basic geo/asset mapping.
- Prior experience in process improvement is advantageous.
Analytical:
Critical thinking, prioritization, noise reduction, and pattern recognition.
Communication:
Clear, concise summaries for leadership and stakeholders; appropriate tone and audience targeting.
Key responsibilities
- Conducts continuous monitoring to identify and assess ICT incidents as per established guidelines.
- Performs initial incident assessments, ensuring accuracy of data quality aligned with internal and DORA requirements.
- Takes ownership to prepare incident reports and ensure timely and accurate notification to relevant stakeholders.
- Facilitates end-to-end incident management, including stakeholder identification, DORA reporting framework and reporting timeline requirements.
- Collaborates with global teams to ensure incidents are handled efficiently until closure, according to internal and regulatory standards.
- Engages and communicates diplomatically with stakeholders and operating entities.
- Works closely with team members to address inquiries and concerns raised by stakeholders and entities.
- Ensures all communications align with Group brand.
- Supports proactive incident investigation in a collaborative manner.
- Provides regular reports to stakeholders.
- Undertakes all necessary documentation tasks.
