JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial market data platform within an Azure cloud environment. You will be responsible for deploying and operating microservices, conducting system performance analysis, and driving the further development and maintenance of the platform. Your expertise in DevOps practices, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions will be essential in ensuring the platform's scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deploy and Maintain Microservices: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of microservices using Jenkins pipelines within an Azure cloud environment.
· Ensure System Stability and Performance: Test, debug, and analyze microservices to maintain system stability and conduct performance analysis to optimize efficiency.
· Enhance Monitoring Capabilities: Maintain and improve the Dynatrace instance to ensure effective system monitoring and alerting.
· Drive Platform Development: Lead the further development of the financial market data platform, ensuring it remains scalable and robust.
· Collaborate on Strategic Projects: Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to implement strategic platform development initiatives and deployment strategies tailored to Azure.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Proficiency in MS Azure: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Azure for cloud-based solutions and deployments.
· Expertise in Kubernetes & Helm: Strong skills in managing containerized applications with Kubernetes and Helm.
· Experience with Jenkins and Python: Proven experience in using Jenkins for CI/CD processes and Python for scripting and automation tasks.
· Knowledge of Sign-On Mechanisms: Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure access to systems.
· Familiarity with Airflow, Dynatrace, and PostgreSQL (preferred): Understanding of workflow automation with Apache Airflow, performance monitoring with Dynatrace, and database management with PostgreSQL
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
