About the Job
We are looking for a DevOps (SW Developer Backend and Operating) to be part of our team. Allianz Technology is the internal and unique IT provider of the Allianz Group.
The ideal candidate should be a experienced Backend software developer with extensive knowledge in operation applications in a cloud environment in a DevOps Style.
What you do
- Develop and maintain backend systems using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, JavaScript).
- Manage applications in cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes) with CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Work in an agile DevOps environment, ensuring high-quality code and operational efficiency
What you bring
- Administration of Kubernetes and Istio (3+ years), along with Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform, Packer, and Crossplan (more than 3 years).
- Working knowledge of public cloud vendors, preferably AWS, and administration of relational DBs, such as Postgres.
- Proficiency in Dynatrace, Message Brokers, Event Streaming (e.g., Kafka, MQ), and modern programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript (latest versions).
- Expertise in solution and cloud architecture, development patterns, and common frameworks (e.g., Spring), with experience in Test Driven Development.
- Agile principles knowledge, experience in long-running agile projects, a DevOps mindset (you built it, you run it), and awareness of clean code, design patterns, and security concerns.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently through ambiguity, with a strong pragmatic approach to software delivery, proficiency in English (B2+), and an eagerness to keep learning. Proficiency in German (B2+) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins (ideally also GitHub Actions 3+ years), as well as web servers, load balancers, web application firewalls and certificates.
