About the Job
Within the TCA department , a dedicated team manages the IT application landscape for PIMCO Prime Real Estate . As part of a global IT transformation, we are working to harmonize and consolidate the application landscape, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Our team is focused on:
· Delivering reliable, secure, and efficient services in compliance with Allianz Group standards and legal requirements.
· Acting as trusted advisors to internal Allianz clients, crafting innovative solutions that add tangible value.
· Managing both internal and external IT service providers to ensure the highest quality service.

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a key role in building and managing resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure while driving automation and optimizing development and operations workflows. What you do
· Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Nexus to streamline development and accelerate deployment cycles.
· Architect, deploy, and optimize scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments on Azure , ensuring cost-efficiency and operational excellence; utilize Infrastructure-as-Code ( IaC ) tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
· Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and maintain infrastructure solutions aligned with business and software requirements; maintain and support development, staging, and production environments.
· Monitor system performance proactively, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve them quickly to ensure uninterrupted service; continuously identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure and enhance system reliability.
· Partner with security teams to implement cloud security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations and Allianz’s internal policies.
· Develop and manage high availability ( HA ) and disaster recovery ( DR ) strategies to ensure critical systems remain available and resilient.
· Support the development and deployment of microservices using Docke r and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
What you bring
· Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar roles, focusing on Azure cloud environments and CI/CD workflows; expertise in managing Azure services like AKS , Azure App Services , Azure Functions , and Azure Data Factory.
· Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins , GitHub Actions , Nexus , or similar platforms to automate build, test, and deployment processes; proficient in using Terraform, ARM templates, and other IaC tools.
· Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernete s for managing containerized applications and orchestrating microservices-based architectures; strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Groovy, Shell , or similar languages.
· Solid experience with Linux/Unix system administration, shell scripting, and automation; familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Dynatrace and Prometheus.
· Expertise in Git for version control and collaboration on code repositories; in-depth understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, load balancing, DNS configurations, and general cloud network architecture.
· Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to promote collaboration and optimize workflows; excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex issues in live production environments.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, security specialists, and stakeholders; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with disaster recovery ( DR ) strategies and implementing high availability ( HA ) solutions; knowledge of security best practices for cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
