The Opportunity
The Data Analyst role is part of Planning & Data Insights function. The successful candidate will be working in a team of engineers, scientists and analysts which will design and develop data solutions to enable the delivery of AZI’s reporting and analytical objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a data analyst to play a key role in transforming data into valuable insights for the company.
Within the new Planning & Data Insights function, the Data Analyst will work closely alongside the Data Engineers to develop dashboards and reports to help shape the reporting and data analytics landscape in the Company.
The Data Analyst will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from the full Data Planning & Insights function and also the wider business to work on projects for priority business issues.
Key Responsibilities
· Collate, analyse and interpret data to identify, understand and explain trends
· Ensure data quality through robust controls and adherence to company-wide data governance processes and procedures.
· Support the strategic, financial planning and forecasting process for the Company through data analysis & insights
· Gather and understand requirements, and manage relationships with end users to develop dashboards for management reporting of KPIs and data insights
· Support the wider finance function and other business functions through process automation and data modelling
· Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to enhance data accessibility and optimize data processes
· Collaborate with the wider team and functional business partners to gather data integration requirements and deliver data use cases in line with the business strategy
· Work closely with other analysts/engineers/scientists to develop knowledge and training
· Maintain up to date technical and operational documentation
· Meet project deadlines
Key Requirements
Essential Experience:
· Previous data analytics and financial modelling experience
· A third level degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics
· Demonstrated competency with data manipulation and analysis.
· Strong MS Excel skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
· Demonstrate excellent presentation and report writing skills.
· Demonstrate experience of coordinating and delivering highly accurate output in an environment of multiple deadlines.
· Proven ability to manage and complete a variety of projects simultaneously.
· A self-starter with attention to detail who has a focus on problem solving, automation and reconciliation
Desirable Experience:
· Dashboard creation e.g. Power BI, Dash
· Experience with data manipulation software e.g. Python, SQL, SAS
· Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
