What you do:

The Corporate Strategy Principal plays an essential role within the Allianz Life Corporate Strategy team, collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to help create and implement strategies that drive sustained, profitable growth for Allianz Life’s Annuity, Life Insurance and Defined Outcome ETF segments. This role supports the team’s various areas of focus with particular emphasis on strategy execution. In all facets of the role, the Principal will craft communications that synthesize complex information to deliver insights, key messages and recommendations to senior leadership. You will report to the Corporate Strategy Vice President.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development and Planning: Collaborate with other members of the Corporate Strategy team and cross-functional stakeholders to assess potential market entry opportunities, create new business models, and outline long-term corporate strategies. Support the development of comprehensive strategic plans to capitalize on identified opportunities
  • Strategy Execution and Implementation:Play a key role in implementing strategic initiatives and new business opportunities, including the development and measurement of OKRs (objectives and key results). Ensure alignment with overarching enterprise goals and objectives
  • Market and Quantitative Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes; support evaluation of opportunities and risks. Develop business cases and perform financial and non-financial analyses to assess the impact of potential strategies and inform decision-making
  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex and ambiguous business challenges, create and test hypotheses, and conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to guide insights and recommendations
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with cross-functional stakeholder groups to identify promising business prospects and execute tailored strategies. Lead exploration, proposal formulation and initiative execution through influence
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

 

What you bring:

  • 6-7 years’ experience required including a minimum 2 years’ work experience in the financial services or insurance industry including corporate strategy and consulting or 4 years of experience working at a top consulting firm (Big 4, MBB, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience participating in and leading strategy and transformation projects using qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent work experience required
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
