The Impact You Will Have
As a Senior Risk Analyst reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will be instrumental in shaping our risk framework across two legal entities and the global Alternative Risk Transfer line of business. Your insights will help develop our risk appetite and culture, integrating Risk Management into daily activities and strategic planning.
You will oversee top risks, lead identification processes, and collaborate with the business to prioritize mitigation actions. Your stakeholder management and collaboration skills will empower effective risk management and foster a proactive and resilient risk culture.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Perform risk management activities for two legal entities and the alternative risk transfer business globally
Manage, monitor and report of top risks, including key risk indicators
Interact with the business (i.e. 1st line of defense) on focused risk management topics, including definition of risk mitigation measures
Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk management, including risk identification, assessment, analysis, and control testing
Prepare standard and ad-hoc management reports
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address emerging threats and regulatory requirements
Address future challenges related to Swiss Solvency Test, Solvency II, and Bermuda regulations
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Excellent qualification, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or any other analytical science (e.g., Risk Management, Actuarial, Financial)
Understanding of Solvency II and SST or Basel framework, including qualitative and quantitative risk management, risk controlling and risk reporting
Finance and (re-)insurance know-how (ideally P&C) and understanding of complexities in an insurance group allowing for cross-departmental thinking and acting
Expertise in qualitative risk management techniques, including risk identification, assessment, analysis, and control
Ability to translate regulatory requirements and legal documents into business applications
Extensive IT skills in MS Office, including VBA and relevant expert systems (preferably R)
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complexity
Independent, self-motivated and a great team player
Ability to work effectively in an international and dynamic environment, demonstrating excellent intercultural skills
Fluent English skills required, German is a strong advantage
